FINdICE COMMITTEE (.5tA,Lek, FISCAL NOTE (MISC. 108102) June 12, 2008 BY: FINANCE COMMITTEE, MIKE ROGERS, CHAIRPERSON IN RE: DRAIN COMMISSIONER - DOWNWARD RECLASSIFICATION AND TRANSFER OF TWO (2) POSITIONS TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen: Pursuant to Rule XII-C of this Board, the Finance Committee has reviewed the above referenced resolution and finds: 1. The Drain Commissioner- Ls requesting :b reclassify two (2) vacant special revenue funded Construction inspector II positions (6010326-06898 and 60:0326-06899) to a classification titled Maintenance Mechanic II. 2. The Construction Inspector i positj„o%s are salary grade 8 and the Maintenance Xechanic II positions are salary grade 7 with overtime non-exempt, resulting in an annual net savings of $418. 3. The Engineering and Construction Civision has experienced a slowdown in new construction projects, and in order to enhance future workload objectives, the two Xaintenance Mechanic II positions will be transferred from the Engineering and Construction Division to the Operations ane Maintenance Division. 4. The following budget amendment -1 -s rec=ended for Fiscal Year 2008 and 2009 Adopted Budget to retlect the position reclassification and transfer.
