Re: Magistrate Position Opening
Dear Ms. Gillert:
It is my undetstanding that a magistrate p9.01tion,may...be;coming available in the 52 "
District Court - 3 rd Division. Please allow this letter, accompanied by my resume, to serve as
notice of my interest in the position, should the position become available.
I am confident that my credentials make..•ne,...a.,strong candidate for the magistrate
position. In addition to my experience as an assistant •prosecuting attorney, where I became
intimately familiar with every step of the criminal process, I also have experience as a law clerk
in your very court. That experience taught me :firsthand the processes and procedures of case
'now and file management in your 9ourt. I understand how a case is initiated, how a file is
created, and the path each and every ,file takes as it passes through the court system. I am also
familiar with a great majority of the staff employed by the 5213 District Court. That familiarity
with the staff and the court processes and procedures will allow me to quickly assimilate myself
into the role of magistrate,-should-1-have-tlie-honor-of-teeeivirtrtirt.t-tipprtirrtmEttrfraTIT7MT
